Wood Splitting and Outdoor Baking

Learn the proper technique to split wood with an axe, not a maul, a real axe. Learn a safe, effective method, anyone can do when taught hands on. Then come the next day and use that wood to learn how to bake over an open fire. We will feature several traditional methods used to bake by Guides.

You don't have to be a Guide to sign up. This is a weekend Canoe trip on beautiful Cobbossee stream. We will teach paddle strokes and then paddle about 4 hours to camp where we will teach how to set up a wilderness camp kitchen and a solid camp in any conditions. We will teach camp cooking over an open fire, tarp setups, and wood splitting. All food and canoe gear is included in the price. ($400 for the weekend). Please provide your own tent and sleep system. This class will enable you to have the skills to stay safe and comfortable in the wilderness.
