About the event
Come to the Orono Sportsman show! Get ready for a great Summer with multiple vendors to buy gear from and Canoe Demos in the Olympic Sized swimming pool. Great fun for the whole family. I will be doing a 2 pm workshop on Saturday March 11, 2023 on how to load a canoe for wilderness canoe tripping. Come enjoy and ask lots of questions.
You don't have to be a Guide to sign up. This is a weekend Canoe trip on beautiful Cobbossee stream. We will teach paddle strokes and then paddle about 4 hours to camp where we will teach how to set up a wilderness camp kitchen and a solid camp in any conditions. We will teach camp cooking over an open fire, tarp setups, and wood splitting. All food and canoe gear is included in the price. ($400 for the weekend). Please provide your own tent and sleep system. This class will enable you to have the skills to stay safe and comfortable in the wilderness.
