There is no greater skill in the wild! Bar none. The skill to shelter a fire from, rain, wind, sun. To be able to have a warming fire under a tarp in the pouring rain and ice cold winds is essential. Without that your only plan is to hope for nice weather...good luck with that. Dave Conley pic

You don't have to be a Guide to sign up. This is a weekend Canoe trip on beautiful Cobbossee stream. We will teach paddle strokes and then paddle about 4 hours to camp where we will teach how to set up a wilderness camp kitchen and a solid camp in any conditions. We will teach camp cooking over an open fire, tarp setups, and wood splitting. All food and canoe gear is included in the price. ($400 for the weekend). Please provide your own tent and sleep system. This class will enable you to have the skills to stay safe and comfortable in the wilderness.
